F.A.Q.

We Are Sure You Have Some Questions

What does licensing mean?

In the music business, it means that the owner or producer of the song allows you (or whoever wants the license) some limited rights to use the beat for recordings, sales, radio plays, streaming, and commercial use etc. You will never own the beat, the producer does. The producer lets you use the beat, but the producer also can allow more people to use the same beat, because the producer is the owner of the beat. You will never own the beat by licensing beats, only if you  buy the Exclusive license of it.

What are the advantages of a non-exclusive license?

Your use of a non-exclusive beat will variate according to the non-exclusive license you decide to purchase. We have 3 types of non-exclusive licenses! All non-exclusive licenses are perfect for any creative purpose such as recording. The only difference between an exclusive license and a non-exclusive license is the ownership of the beat. If the beat has not been leased exclusively, its copyright owner (the producer) can rent the beat to an unlimited amount of customers until the beat is sold exclusively. The above table will guide you throughout your license choice.

Will all voice tags be removed once I buy a beat?

Yes. Once the beat is purchased, you will receive the untagged files. So the MP3 / WAV (and the Tracked out WAV stems) will be delivered without the Music Royals voicetag.

Can I upgrade my license later?

Yes, you can request a license upgrade here. We will send an invoice for the difference between the prices of the licenses. But if, in the meantime, a beat is sold exclusively, you will no longer be able to upgrade your license.

What are track-stems?

It means that every sound of the beat (kicks, snares, hit hats, instruments, samples, vocals etc…) will all be separated in high-quality WAV audio files also known as stems. This is extremely beneficial because now your audio engineer will have more control over the editing, mixing and mastering process of the beat for the best sound possible.

What happens if someone purchases exclusive right?

You will still be able to use the purchased beat. By purchasing any lease you will automatically receive a digital contract that grants you rights to continue the use of the beat as long as the contractual agreements are not violated. However, you will not be able to upgrade your license.

Do you make custom beats?

Yes, we do. We normally do custom beats starting from $500 with a 50% deposit before getting started. We will continue to go back and forth with you until you are completely satisfied with the beat. And of course, you will have exclusive rights. See the 'services' page for more information on this subject.

How often do you upload new beats?

We’re always working on new material and generally post multiple beats every week. Make sure to check our website on a daily basis to see our new beats first! We also advise you to subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates regarding new beats and more in your e-mail.
